Conscious Connected Breathwork – Safety & Support
Welcome! Conscious Connected Breathwork is a generally safe and supportive practice for many people. Everyone’s body and life experience is different, and this information helps ensure your experience is as comfortable and supportive as possible.
If any of the following apply to you, please connect with me (John) before registering. Together we will explore modifications or decide together what feels most supportive for you.
Please reach out if you have a history of or are currently experiencing:
• Pregnancy (currently)
• Significant trauma or PTSD
• Active use of recreational drugs
• Heart or cardiovascular conditions (including uncontrolled high blood pressure)
• History of stroke, TIA, aneurysm, or epilepsy
• Severe asthma (mild to moderate asthma may be accommodated — please bring your inhaler)
• Diabetes or kidney disease
• Recent surgery, injury, or stitches
• Bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or recent psychiatric hospitalization
• Any medical, emotional, or physical condition that could affect your ability to comfortably engage in deep breathing or emotional release

As each person is unique, responses to breathwork are unique.
You may notice some of the following:
• Warmth, tingling, lightness, or other subtle bodily sensations
• Natural body movements as tension releases
• Temporary tightness or cramping in the hands or jaw — a common and temporary breathwork response, with gentle guidance provided to help ease it if it arises
• Emotional processing or release, sometimes accompanied by feelings of relief, openness, or clarity
You are always in control of your breath and participation and may slow down, pause, or rest at any time.
If you have any questions or would like to talk through whether breathwork is a good fit for you, you’re always welcome to reach out— your comfort and safety truly matter.
